Strength of schedule:

Louisville is (7-1) with wins over Charlotte, Syracuse, Florida State, Marshall, Duke, NC State, and Virginia.  Their only loss came to a top five team in Clemson.  Boston College is (4-4) with wins over UMass, Wagner, Buffalo, and NC State.  They were defeated by Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Syracuse.

Louisville enters the game leading the nation in yards per game and scoring offense at 50 points per game.  Quarterback Lamar Jackson is putting up video game numbers and is the front runner for this year’s Heisman Trophy Award.  The Louisville defense doesn’t get much respect but they rank as a top 35 unit in the nation in scoring defense.  Boston college also ranks inside the top 35 in scoring defense and are one of the four best teams at stuffing the run.  Louisville’s aerial assault should give the Eagles trouble as well as Lamar Jackson’s ability to escape the pocket.  Boston College has been lousy on offense this year ranking 115th out of 127 teams.  The Eagles simply won’t be able to score with Louisville even if their defense plays well.
