The Eagles are flying high with the NFL’s best record and an eight-game winning streak. Philadelphia is coming off a dominant 31-3 home victory over the Chicago Bears. The Eagles outgained the Bears 420-140 in total yardage and nearly doubled them in time of possession. Carson Wentz was phenomenal once again going 23-36 for 227 yards and three touchdowns. The Eagles running game totaled 176 yards on 33 carries (5.3 average). Surprisingly, LaGarrette Blount surprisingly has taken the lead back role even after the club’s acquisition of Jay Ajayi. Zach Ertz had a big game with ten catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Philadelphia’s defense was tremendous holding the Bears to under 200 yards and three points. The Eagles (+160) lead the NFL in point differential by a wide margin.
The Seahawks have split their last four games despite being decimated by injuries. The heart of Seattle’s secondary (Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor) are out for the season with injuries. Seattle was able to pull out a 24-13 road victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks outgained the 49ers 318-280 in total yardage. Russell Wilson was 20-34 for 228 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Seattle again struggled to run the football gaining 90 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries (3.0 average). The Seahawks defense played well and took advantage of the inexperienced C.J. Breathard. The Seahawks (+54) rank 8th in the NFL in point differential.
The Eagles offense is rolling having scored over 30 points in five straight games. Carson Wentz is the frontrunner for league MVP with a sparkling 28-5 touchdown to interception ratio. Seattle has really struggled to run the ball so Russell Wilson will have to force the ball against a tough Philadelphia defense. Wentz should be able to exploit a banged up Seahawks secondary and lead the Eagles to victory.
