Summary:

The Dodgers enter the game 12th in the league in runs per game (4.77) and 2nd in team earned run average (3.42).  The Dodgers are in quite a tailspin having lost eleven of their last twelve games.  The Dodgers are (7-6) against the Giants this season outscoring them 61-50.  The Dodgers will start Yu Darvish (8-12, 4.25) on the mound.  Denard Span is the only Giants player who has faced Darvish (.625 AVG 3 doubles).  Darvish has been a road warrior this season (5-4, 2.81) but has really struggled since the All-Star break (2-4, 6.10).

The Giants rank 29th in runs per game (3.98) and 20th in team earned run average (4.64).  San Francisco is also struggling going (4-6) in their last ten games.  The Giants will start Matt Moore (5-13, 5.31) who has vastly underperformed this season.  The caveat is Moore has been excellent against the Dodgers holding them to a combined .181 average in 149 at-bats.  Moore has pitched decent at home (3-8, 4.30) and is (2-4, 4.20) since the All-Star break.

Bottom Line:

The Dodgers have been playing terrible baseball but finally ended their eleven-game losing streak last night and ironically cliched the division.  Matt Moore has had great success pitching against the Dodgers so I like the Giants to win at home.
