Tampa Bay is (3-2) in their last five games while Carolina is (2-3).  The Panthers have won six of their last seven head to head games with the Buccaneers.  Tampa Bay won the match-up earlier this year 17-14 in Carolina.  The Buccaneers need a ton to go right to have any hope of getting into the playoffs but they can help their own cause by getting a win at home.  The Buccaneers defense has been playing at a high level allowing just a shade over 17 points per game in their last seven games.  Tampa Bay needs to do a better job of ball security as turnovers have killed the Buccaneers the last two games.  The Panthers defense has been awful the last five games allowing nearly 28 points per game in that span.  Carolina will be missing star linebacker Luke Keuchly who will likely sit out again with lingering concussion issues.  Carolina is just (2-5) on the road this year and will find it tough against a desperate Buccaneers team.
