On Monday, June 12th, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be on the road to take on the Golden State Warriors in game five of the 2017 NBA Finals. The Warriors hold a (3-1) series advantage.

The dream for a perfect (16-0) postseason is over for the Warriors. Golden State still holds a (3-1) series advantage even after Cleveland pulled out a nearly flawless 137-116 victory on their home floor. The 137 points that Cleveland scored were an NBA finals record. The Cavaliers shot 53% from the field, made 24 threes, and only turned the ball over 11 times. Lebron James had yet another triple double with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving delivered a special performance with 40 points and Kevin Love added 23 points of his own. Kevin Durant scored 35 points for Golden State but shot just 9-22. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson struggled to find a rhythm shooting a combined 8-24 from the field. The Warriors did not respond well to the physicality of the Cavaliers in game four. Cleveland is again facing the same daunting (3-1) series deficit they were last year but Kevin Durant has proven to be the ultimate difference maker. With a team full of historically great shooters, I expect the Warriors to be much more efficient offensively and win game five on their home floor.
