Taco Bell “Guess the Score” Contest Results for Week 8!
We at The Crowd’s Line are excited to announce that we are again partnering with Taco Bell to deliver a special contest with over $250 in prizes! On Sunday, October 23rd, at 4:05 P.M. the (2-3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be on the road to take on the (1-4) San Francisco 49ers.
2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):
Yards per game: Buccaneers 335.8 (23rd) > 49ers 291.4 (31st)
Points per game: 49ers 22.2 (18th) > Buccaneers 18.8 (22nd)
Turnover margin: 49ers -1 > Buccaneers -5
Fewest yards allowed per game: Buccaneers 366.2 (20th) > 49ers 370.8 (21st)
Fewest Points allowed per game: 49ers 28.0 (tied for 27th) > Buccaneers 28.4 (29th)
San Francisco is (1-2) at home this season whereas Tampa Bay is (2-1) on the road. Both of these teams have really struggled in the early part of the season especially on defense. The Buccaneers problems on offense are directly related to their excessive amount of turnovers. Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has turned the ball over 12 times by himself.
The 49ers are handing the quarterback reigns back over to Colin Kaepernick after Blaine Gabbert had a less than stellar start to the season. In Kaepernick’s last nine games he has completed just 59 percent of his passes and has thrown 6 touchdowns. San Francisco will have to rely heavily on the running game to limit Kaepernick’s potential for turnovers. This is obviously a battle of two bad teams, but I like Tampa Bay to win a close one on the road.
