On Sunday, December 10th, the (10-2) Philadelphia Eagles will be on the road to take on the (9-3) Los Angeles Rams.

The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Eagles 25.3 – Rams 25.2 with an over/under of 50.5.

2017-18 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Eagles 385.1 (3rd) > Rams 372.7 (4th)

Points per game: Eagles 30.1 (1st) = Rams 30.1 (1st)

Turnover margin: Eagles +7 > Rams +6

Fewest yards allowed per game: Eagles 293.2 (3rd) > Rams 333.4 (15th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Eagles 17.9 (6th) > Rams 18.5 (7th)

The Eagles saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end when they suffered a 24-10 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks.  The Seahawks outgained the Eagles 425-310 in total yardage.  Carson Wentz was 29-45 for 348 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  The Eagles running game tallied 98 yards on 26 carries (3.8 average).  Nelson Agholor had a huge game with 7 catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns.  Philadelphia’s defense had no answers for Russell Wilson who played one of his most efficient games of the season.  The Eagles (+160) lead the NFL in point differential.

The Rams are playing well having won six of their last seven games.  The Rams are coming off a 32-16 road victory over the Arizona Cardinals.  The Cardinals outgained the Rams 312-303 in total yardage.  Jared Goff was 21-31 for 220 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.  Todd Gurley II had 19 carries for 74 yards (3.9 average).  Gurley also had 6 receptions for 84 yards.  The Rams defense was suffocating at times forcing Blaine Gabbert into two turnovers.  The Rams (+139) rank 2nd in the NFL in point differential.

Bottom Line:

The Seahawks were able to frustrate Carson Wentz but he has played like an MVP all season so I expect that he will bounce back.  The Rams have been the surprise of the NFL this season with their explosive offense but will up against a tough Eagles defense.  The Rams rank 27th at stopping the run (122.8 YPG) so the Eagles will be able to exploit that and control time of possession.  Ultimately, I like Philadelphia on the road by a field goal.
