The 117th U.S. Open Championship will be played at Erin Hills golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin.  At 7,693 yards Erin Hills will play as the second longest golf course that has ever hosted the U.S. Open.  Though golf legends Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have withdrawn, there is still plenty of intrigue about the rest of the field.  Dustin Johnson enters the tournament as the world number one and looks to defend his 2016 title.  Johnson has the best odds (13/2) of winning the tournament.  Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama (20/1) are tied for the most PGA Tour wins in 2017 with three.  Rory McIlroy (12/1) has recovered from his rib injury and has the second best odds of winning.  Recent winners of the U.S. Open include McIlroy in 2011, Webb Simpson (125/1) in 2012, Justin Rose (20/1) in 2013, Martin Kaymer (60/1) in 2014, and Jordan Spieth (12/1) in 2015.  The winner of the tournament will take home $2.2 million in addition to the 600 FedEx Cup points.
